New ownership structure for Mounts Bay Vets ensures independent status.
We are delighted to announce to our clients and community, that on 1st October 2025, Mounts Bay Vets passed into full ownership of an Employee Owned Trust (EOT).
As an independent practice, we were looking to our options for the long-term future and security of the practice, and this structure enables Luke Stevens and Anna White (the founders and previous owners of Mounts Bay Vets) to protect and maintain the ethos and commitment to providing local affordable vet care which is so important to them. We have been fiercely independent vets over the past 15 years and transitioning to an EOT will allow the company to be secured as an independent practice for the years ahead.
As an EOT we can look to a future in which:
- the business won’t be sold into a corporate chain
- decisions will continue to be made with our patients, clients and staff at heart
- the entire team will have a voice and shared interest in the success of the practice.
The company board will continue to be steered by the experience of Luke, Anna and our practice manager, Sacha in the short term, but we are excited to plan ahead to transition management to the wider team over the coming years.
We are both proud and thankful of what Mounts Bay Vets has become, as a committed, caring, local provider of veterinary services to the area of Penwith and beyond, and this step ensures that our independence, values and community spirit will continue into the future.
Once again we want to say thank you to all our wonderful clients, who have supported and trusted us with their beloved pets over the years. We hope to be able to care for and help many more in the years to come.
